DOORWAYS offers a range of housing options designed to meet the diverse needs of the HIV-affected population, with services designed to help clients maintain housing stability. Although each program is structured to best meet the needs of the unique population served, each has the same primary goals: to increase access to safe, affordable housing for people with HIV/AIDS and, in doing so, to improve access to health care and social services, increase compliance with individual treatment plans, reduce further transmission, and enhance the quality of life for those living with HIV/AIDS.

DOORWAYS serves all people affected by HIV/AIDS regardless of age, color, creed, physical or mental disability, ethnicity, familial status, gender identity and expression, national origin, race, religion, pregnancy, sex or sexual orientation. The organization recognizes a special responsibility to respond to the poorest and most vulnerable of the community.

Who is eligible?
Clients must have a verified diagnosis of HIV/AIDS and proof of financial need, and must be enrolled in HIV/AIDS case management services. Clients are referred to DOORWAYS by health care providers, social service providers, and case managers, and DOORWAYS works closely with other agencies to provide appropriate care without duplication of services.
